The telecast last night pointed to early February games against Georgetown / Uconn as where we might eventually stumble.

But before those games, we have a really challenging stretch with games @ ND, @ Cincinnati, and home against a tough West Virginia squad.

After this Saturday's game, we really get into the "meat" of the BE conference schedule [and yes--I know Pitt sucks and I expect that we'll roll them, but we haven't beaten them in awhile], and we'll need to be sharp.

At this point, I'd be pretty dissatisfied with anything worse than 15-3.

I have a hard time seeing this team lose at home this year.

When they lose - it will be on the road either to Louisville or UConn.

That Saturday/Monday away series with ND and Cinci is going to be a tough 1-2 punch.

This weekend the only thing I am worried about is how big the spread will be for Prov and Pitt.

...but I'm a little nervous about ND/Cinncy back to back next weekend.

Not sure this Saturday will be a cakewalk either, the last game against Prov wasnt exactly easy going.

I don't share that concern. They were playing at home, with a favorable crowd rooting them on, shot the lights out, in a game where Fab was rendered a non-factor defensively due to foul trouble. And despite all that, we still handled them.

I don't expect a similar game at the Dome. Plus, I don't expect out team to take them lightly with the memory of getting Providence's best shot a week ago fresh in their minds.

Coleman is likely out as well. Scored 17 on us the last time. Baye is also playing, so no CJ at center. I would say this is the easiest game left on the slate, but as Louisville found out, you never know.

The officials were really bad in that game.

That Sat/Mon on the road vs. ND and Cinci is going to be tough. ND has recovered from losing Abromitis and Brey has them playing that deliberate half court style that slows the game down. That style gives us problems. Then we face Cinci with no prep time.

It wasn't at home either.

Pitt-ND-Cincy-WVU is going to be tough
Agreed. I know Pitt is struggling, but Jamie Dixon always seems to have JB's number (so does Pitino). ND, Cincy and WV are all solid teams, particularly the latter two.

It's going to be tougher than people might think.

One game at a time please. We are #1... we will be favored in every upcoming game.

Of course they were. Syracuse always wins in spite of the officiating. They are always against us. Imagine how good Boeheims record would be if the officiating was fair?

oh god. I pointed out one game.

So basically what we all know about Higgins and Burr is true . . . . they make it harder on better teams more often than not.

They did happen to ref more Syracuse games than the rest. But, it's still a wide margin.

Amazing that Burr has called the exact same number of fouls on Uconn and SU, and th at he has officiated the same number of their games.

Can you explain what it is you think the stats demonstrate other than they seem to have refereed more Cuse games than games of other teams.
