I kinda read that McF***IT was not good at managing staff under him as well as game management based on this comment.

I hope we can get far enough ahead in either of the next two games so that Mahoney can get some experience on the road. It could be invaluable if we have another injury situation.

This...and it would be nice to rest some guys like Erv...we need him to get back to 100% and stay there.

Agreed. One guy is comfortable in his role, believes in his system and no issues dealing with the media another wasn't. Plain and simple. And people will pile on the D3 experience but Lester is comfortable in a leadership position and it shows. Plain and simple

Yes I think being a head coach, regardless of level, has helped him tremendously. He had to deal with the media, obviously on a much smaller scale but still did it. But I bet it allowed him to experiment with the kind of offense he wanted to run so he could fine tune things .

It's almost like night and day between him and McF*it.

I have an unbelievable amount of respect for the fact that he was subordinate to McF*it for 18 months and surely could see the whole time the McF*it offense was a dumpster fire (probably telling his staff to pour gas on it) Yet I can't remember a single negative or contraversial comment from OCTL ever.

I am a big fan and he is quickly earning a lot of rope from this fan not only because of the offensive improvement but also the way he handles himself (similar to how I feel about HCSS)

Shafer says internal expectations haven't changed after LSU. Focus is on winning the game.
