I know we lack talent. My biggest issue was the lack of movement. Most of the time we had 3 guys in the middle just outside the box literally standing still waiting for something to happen. No movement. Not a single run. We were trying to play iso ball on the wings 1 v 2.
Actually they tried to play it over the top quite a lot on offense. They hit a post, got a couple other pretty good chances and just didn't convert.
I agree, though. Late in the game they were too stagnant on offense. The substitute #9 Agyemang (?) was pretty dangerous. They need a consistent lineup, more than anything.
I the guy who probably had the worst game was Weston McKennie. Lots of sloppy lost passes, lost possession. Not really a force in midfield. Tessman wasn't dynamic, but was dependable defensively. McGlynn, the guy with those nice left footed passes, brought something to the offense.
Sargeant didn't take the opportunity. Had a few moments, but people have to score on some of these chances if they want to take the job. It's there for the taking. We have literally 6 or 7 guys who could play the 9 for us, but they can't stay healthy, and they can't get consistent game time. And if they do at the club level, then they have to score for the national team when they get the chance.
