JJ singlehandedly lost us the game when we were up 13 with terrible defense and equally bad offense which included missing free throws.

He is not a starter on a winning team.

Autry only learned two things from Boeheim. Don’t put anyone on the line for offensive free throws and always have “your” guy that gets to shoot every shot he wants, no matter how terrible. And don’t ever think of taking him out, no matter how much he’s hitting the team. But at least Boeheims guy was good (until the family years)

Red keeps his habit of sitting good Cuffe versus playing Cuffe big minutes when he’s not good.

Soft team and poor coaching has consequences.

It means you sometimes will lose games you have no business losing.

Today was one of those days.

Players have to make plays and we don’t have enough of them when it really matters. JJ really hurt us defending Young. He just had his way with him and JJ didn’t really put up much resistance. I have a feeling Eddie was either ill or hurting today. He went out a lot. Really tough loss. We have to grind put every possession and if teams keep us from scoring in the paint we’re toast. VT has shooters and it gives them so many more ways to score. I thought Eddie was very unassertive in the second half. He seemed out of it. Carlos is Carlos and he tries to do what he can do, but our backcourt defense is not good and our bigs only compound the problem.

They gave up on defense numerous times... It's part of why they lost.

The offense was great when JJ wasn't really touching it. I can't understand why he was guarding Young either. Taylor should have been in and on him.
