Vegas...All things related. Who is going? Mark...tailgate possibility?

Who's going to Vegas in October? I haven't been this excited for an away game in decades. I have never been to Vegas and i'm pretty sure i'll be making this a Thursday to Monday trip to take it all in.

Wow. Thanks. That seems like a good price .
I’m flying Jet Blue Wednesday morning, lt came to 193 and that’s with seat selection added. Have connection in Boston ( Starting from Hancock)
I have the same flight!!!!! I managed to snag it for 180 total a few days ago. Waiting for breeze to see the return trip.

Remember pacing is important.

You can't take it all in on one 3 day trip so prioritize, budget, and hydrate.

If you can leave and return midweek there are much less expensive options. Wednesday to Wednesday on American shows several itineraries around $450 from Syracuse to Vegas with one connection. And if you don’t mind losing two hours of your life, Hilton will give you 50,000 points and three nights for $199 if you attend a presentation. They usually allow you to add on additional nights at a discounted price.

I’m saving my vacation club for later this year so I can stock up my diamond club points for free rooms on away games that are drivable :)

Cool, look for a dopey looking old guy with a Syracuse shirt on. Yea I am also thinking on waiting on Breeze. I know I could get home for 124.00 on Saturday night Red Eye if I knew it was going to be an afternoon game , but have to wait on that as well

I bought in when we stayed in Myrtle Beach prior to the 2022 Clemson gsme, upgraded at my virtual owner briefing in 2023, then bought a VIP voucher and price freeze to convert to Club that gives me a 32-1 exchange for hotel points instead of 16-1. Had 40,000 bonus points plus my annual points and using the voucher for Vegas.

There’s going to be a lot of dopey looking old guys wearing Orange on that flight.

Don't be surprised if extra flights are added by Breeze.

As a backup you can always book with Southwest Airlines. Pricing is high right now but should expect sales to come several times over the summer to give you an opportunity to save some money or points

I'm not sure many in Syracuse are familiar with Southwest Airlines as they are fairly new to Cuse. I have a Southwest Credit Card and build up lots of points to use for flights, so I fly them quite a bit.

With Southwest, as sales get announced: if you find a cheaper flight it is a fairly simple process to get the overpayment of funds or points credited back.

So if Breeze announced flights work for you can cancel the Southwest flight and your money gets deposited on account for future use. This money doesn't expire but you have to fly to use it up.

BTW, many of you heard there are no assigned seats. It is different from other airlines. I've never paid for a priority status to board first. If you are disciplined and check in for your flight 24 hrs prior you usually have a high enough boarding number to ensure an aisle seat. It is different but if you want to save money it is better than the other airlines IMHO...oh and no checked bag fees too if you follow their baggage rules.

with SW if you just checkin pretty soon after the window you will almost always get a B or higher seating.. Then you get to watch all the people in large groups come in with a late C complain about not being able to sit together. If you want a Window or Aisle just pay the $20-25 and checkin is done for you and then you pretty much always get an A seating.

Direct flights out of Buffalo to Vegas as well. Roc is generally cheaper than Syracuse by a good amount to Vegas.

I know some people love Southwest but by golly I just cannot handle other people's drama around the seating.

I just pay the $20 walk on and choose my seat. When its full good to have the choice and when it not you usually end up with an empty seat next to you

Flying out of BUF isn't that bad...2 hrs down the Thruway. I've done it before when SYR was way overpriced.

Having a nonstop from BUF to LAS is a huge timesaver

Currently holding 2 reservation. NYNY and MGM Signature. Mandalay Bay won't come live on Bonvoy for about another month. Same with Park MGM. Of those 4 CuseTroop which are the best for a 70 year old lady travelling by herself. Hate smoke, but like to watch people.

The signature would be a hike, or an Uber to either the stadium or Mandalay Bay where you could walk to the stadium. I don’t believe it’s actually connected to a casino. Prolly no bueno for people watching for that reason. I had friends stay there in December- I’ll double check.

When we last looked the other day, Mandalay Bay was around the same price as NyNy and Park, so we pulled the trigger on MB. Can’t get any closer to the action.

Park is the only non smoking casino on your list, but the bigger casinos do a decent job with sucking it out. I don’t really notice the smoke unless I’m in an older casino, but maybe someone with a better nose can chime in.

If I had to rank them for you I’d go
Mandalay Bay
Park MGM
NYNY
Singature

I have to wait until the end of March to book Mandalay. I need it on Bonvoy as I have a high status with them.

Hotel transfers to airport and back are 30 bucks each way... Been there done that in December. It worth it, and then you actually make it as they have schedules.

I’m sure everyone saw this, but this morning BREEZE went live for nonstop to Vegas from cuse October 4th. Kind of a big deal.

17 seats out of 130ish taken. Still lots of room. Way more expensive than normal breeze to Vegas cuz they know our whole city wants to go

Man they jacked those prices way up, more then double for a bare bones seat.

Yup. At first it blew my mind. Then I realized it’s the one nonstop discount flight to Vegas the day before the game.

Oh they definitely know what their doing and demand is definitely gonna outstrip supply. I was holding out to see what their prices were gonna look like but for that amount and the lack of flexibility for getting there and leaving, I'd rather go a big name.

I will say I flew breeze last fall direct to Vegas and it was great. But it’s a crapshoot of course

The direct flight is a huge bonus. Some of these connections these airlines offer are fn absurd. They've got you traveling like 11 hours and connecting everywhere from Charlotte to Dallas

I have had better luck out of Roc and Buff to LV. At least you have more options to go the right direction on the first hop of the non direct stuff. Still have the daily direct out of Buff. Price has generally been better as well.

480ish bucks even on a 1 way return is not a discount. Rediculous prices.
