Perfect example of how having a player from the coach’s system/ former team can accelerate install and adoption.

Kehres tells, D’Appolonia shows the guys what he means/ wants.

Sure, this is just indi drill - but it’s going to be the same thing when demonstrating drops, stunts, run fits, checks at the LOS, etc.

Love that Vince was able to bring Chris with him.

Love that he is teaching proper tackling techniques. Need a big improvement from last season.

Chris is going to be a fan favorite. Huge addition at Lb. Natural leader too. And will be the QB of the D.

I thought he woulda grabbed 1 or 2 more

Think he liked a lot of what we had on the team and coming in. LB was a critical area and he got his guy here.

He focused rest of portal up front. Sounds like they’re happy with the additions on the line.
That’s as I say a lot on here, the biggest thing we need. I hoped he would bring a starting safety also but I get it. Dline we need a major stud. We got fill guys but we need a guy u have to gameplan for. Big dude who can stop double teams and tackle dudes at los.

Perry will surprise some folks along with some others.

And agree -- early reports are positive on the DL transfers but it doesn't matter till the games start. So I take it all with a grain of salt.

But Chris at LB is going to be a lot of fun to watch with Antoine. He's a Barron-esque type of player and leader. We had none of that last year. He was also one of the best graded coverage LBs in all of college football last year, which we also needed.

I never thought we could win a game on the defensive side of the ball with E-Rob in charge.

I'm VERY excited to see the talent we have on that side of the ball play in this defense. Really a perfect hire. (whispers) And if Fran left after a successful year or two, Kehres is also a guy I could see staying on as the HC.

agree on both. It's going to be a breath of fresh air.

The impact a Division III school in the Rust Belt has had on coaching is just wild.

I remember the first game of the FB era against Ohio, was just so shocked at the lack of fundamentals on defense given the way Erob was being talked up all off season, never would’ve thought it got as bad as it would have. Excited doesn’t do what I feel justice to have a coach that can actually give us an edge on that side of the ball again.
