Vinny Lobdell Donor Group

Oh I’m sure some will argue that. Maybe it’s true with some donors. I don’t know. I do know Red had to be dragged out to meet with donors, didn’t prioritize it and didn’t play the game. And then when you’re losing, it’s even harder.

Fran doesn’t have this problem so I really don’t think it’s a race issue for the most part.
I don’t think it’s race, but race peddlers can spin it that way

The key will be sustaining that level. Would love to see a bunch of out big boosters get a pot together ($100M+) that isn’t touched, but the earning go to NIL each year. Maybe a 5 year commitment to leave the money in. (Not my money, so easy for me)
This!!! This needs to happen and should bring in a wider net of wealthy donors who currently are afraid to give with no ROI.. Pooling money together into a fund where the earnings portion goes to NIL, but the base investment is still the donor’s

Unbelievable. I was always under the impression that he really tried but still couldn’t muster up enough NIL until last season.

Sounds like he didn’t try that hard to begin with. Ridiculous. This Gmac hire is beginning to make more and more sense by the hour.
It was stated here over and over that Red didn’t do fundraising until year 2. That’s why our offseason before 2024-25 was so abysmal. He had no money because he didn’t raise any.

It was a fireable offense to be that unmotivated and unprepared, IMHO.

I wasn’t aware about him neglecting it in the first year. Makes sense to why we were left with jaquon Carlos and Lucas Taylor.

Do these two have CTE?

DC seemed to hate Red because he let Lampkin wear 44.

And Etan is just all over the place. I think he's a legit crazy person.
Here’s a wild thought… maybe Red should’ve asked people for money. By all accounts he didn’t really do that. Not that DC or Etan would have donated anyway

The Autry vs Gmac donations are simple

What in Red’s off seasons really sparked you to want to open your checkbook?

Honestly some of the money coming Gerry’s way is probably due to where the program currently is. Gerry can rejuvenate and motivate donors to never want to be sitting in this position again

If Gerry has years like red did, those checkbooks slam shut

I don't know if he asked them, but he asked me. So I would hope he asked them. It just wasn't his strong suit and that's one of the reasons that he's gone.

That said, did anyone not know that Lobdell was already giving money? How can two alums like that not have known? It's unfortunate that they're so divisive.

I don't remember who said it, but it's been mentioned a few times. Anyone in the know, please correct me if I am wrong.

DC made $90 million in NBA salaries. Etan made $45 million. Reading either of them b!tching about money is nauseating.

Seriously I’m so sick of Etan Thomas. SHUT UP. You don’t do anything. Vinny is such a good dude. He has given this program so much money and does so much stuff behind the scenes that no one even knows about. He’s giving millions and millions. And like I said “someone who sits close to melo”, well here ya go. It’s him. Glad this is out because he’s helping more than anyone
I put him on mute a few years ago.
