Vinny Lobdell Donor Group

I donated year 1 of Red. Did not his last two years.

I donated to GMac this week.

Hope matters
Agreed and kinda like the last two years you didn't. Why? Because you didn't feel like it was a smart investment. This isn't rocket science folks. People invest until given reasons not to invest. Something new comes along...GMac...as an investor you like the message your hearing...people are willing to throw in again.

Oh I’m sure some will argue that. Maybe it’s true with some donors. I don’t know. I do know Red had to be dragged out to meet with donors, didn’t prioritize it and didn’t play the game. And then when you’re losing, it’s even harder.

Fran doesn’t have this problem so I really don’t think it’s a race issue for the most part.
I don’t think that is fair. Red tried hard to raise NIL. He had little help.

We get a donor to step up and Etan intimates he’s a racist. Meanwhile Etan carries water for a fraud who doesn’t do anything but self promote. I guess by Etan’s logic if AW actually decides to donate (unlikely), that means AW is a racist because he didn’t step up for Red last year.

What was he doing to instill confidence though that should have had money flying in left and right? Interviews, pressers and how he explained his vision never resonated as it lacked substance. If you’ve ever had to sell a concept to a board or a room full of investors you aren’t filling up the coffers with generalizations and being passive in asking for money. You have to sell your understanding of what you are trying to accomplish and that you have a rock solid understanding of what you need and it will take to get there.

I agree with what you’re saying. I was just responding to the idea that Red did not try to raise NIL. It just isn’t true.

I don't know if he asked them, but he asked me. So I would hope he asked them. It just wasn't his strong suit and that's one of the reasons that he's gone.

That said, did anyone not know that Lobdell was already giving money? How can two alums like that not have known? It's unfortunate that they're so divisive.
It tells you they are not connected especially Etan. he stirs the pot and opens his mouth with minimal knowledge. Then hosts weekly podcasts with Devendorf. I desperately hope that he is not added as an assistant by the way. Corrupted, toxic soup

They had to beg to get money to invest in reds players last year because folks saw the writing on the wall. Nobody wants to contribute to a loser. Same thing happens on football. It’s harder to raise money when you’re losing. It’s easier when you’re winning or there’s excitement. Gerry’s one of the most popular players.
Red has his chance

Here’s a wild thought… maybe Red should’ve asked people for money. By all accounts he didn’t really do that. Not that DC or Etan would have donated anyway
All the money in the world wouldn’t of helped red because he wasn’t a good head coach
