Virginia Game Thread...

Not being a Debbie downer but just these past few Syracuse teams just cannot handle Virginia. Just a bad matchup all around. I mean we spotted them what kind of lead again in 1H last year in the Dome last year and pretty much got dominated. We'll see what happens in the 2H here.

Offensively, our team this year is better capable of attacking their defense. But without someone like Rak in the paint on D it's really tough for us to slow them down.

Also-- yes they've dominated us since we've joined, but it's not like they put up 80 points. We've kept them in the 50s/60s for the most part

2-1 on this road trip is a mega win for this team.

this game was always gonna be tough. They're good and know how to beat us. We've still got a shot in this game, but a loss here isn't exactly terrible, or all that unexpected.

I don't trust us coming back letting a 55% three point shooter, shoot all half.

Hopefully he will cool off the second half. You can't beat a team that's shooting 55% from 3 no matter what type of defense you are playing.

Gill looks like a 35 year old man and we're trying to defend him with a 13 year old paper boy. Can't do anything about that.

What we can do is make them hit mid range two's and not give them wide open threes and open duck ins under the basket.

Yeah, it's an amazing defense and I have zero issue with what it does, being it doesn't have to be used 100% of the time.

Up 3 with 5 seconds left we would go zone instead of man or guarding the 3 point line. That's insane to me.
