Was Lyn possibly facing suspension?

apparently he can't make nomore legal hits as the big east has extended the head area to include shoulders. Anything above the sternum is now a flag.

Actually that might be a good rule for our team - we might not whiff as much if we're forced to tackle below the waist.

I still can't figure out what Eskridge was attempting on his whiff. It looked like he was avoiding contact at all costs. Very strange play.

Probably just trying to avoid having a flag thrown... yeah that must've been it

It was an awful call. They might as well outlaw all tackles above the waist.

@BigEastFB: We hate Syracuse and will do everything in our power to assist them to lose. Unless they play Pitt. We will make that a boring low scoring tie.

Just saw the same type hit in VA Tech - FL ST game... No flag.

This is why the BE was secretly happy that WV got out with no farewell tour. Refs pull that crap at a WV game they get batteries bouncing off their heads. Deservedly.

The thing that was so telling to me was they way that that announcers, time in and time out, would mention over and over how there is no way that, "this would be upheld", "that was a clean hit", "It should be this... and it was that" and the call go the other way. I have never watched a game where announcers were so blatant in reporting what they were experiencing/reporting/watching as being incorrectly officiated.

That being said, we gave that game to Cincy regardless of the fact that it was two versus one. It was our own fault.

I think they got the call right. The receiver was defenseless and Keon launched himself into the receiver. I thought both of those situations are grounds for a flag. I'm not sure if college and pro rules are different, but that's a flag all day in the nfl. See daunte robinsons hit on desean Jackson or a lot of fines Jerome Harrison has gotten for launching.

Not saying I agree with the rule or that the play was dirty, but I can see why a flag was thrown.
