One thing I would have added at the end, (and for the life of me I cannot find at this moment) is that shot of the Boeheim family watching the first playing of "One Shining Moment" in 2003. (Does anybody have that?)
That was incredible
I cried during osm
Even now...it still gets me too.
It is on twitter, and I retweeted his speech...That was thoroughly wonderful. Hopefully it will be available on Cuse.com and You-Tube forever. We needed that in hard times, especially Melo's speech at the end.
That’s not true at allYeah. Big message was we>me. Nobody looking to the future. Everybody was there to win as a team. Nothing else mattered
It’s really odd to me that he’s settled in Syracuse, but doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the program.Really wished Edelin came also. And yes, he is in Syracuse. At the end when they posted what everyone is doing now, they did include Edelin and Bernie Fine, so was happy to see that.
I was there and I can confirm! It was an incredible night!Just a first class event all around. Good food, open bar and spectacular venue. Over 500 in attendance including many former players. We had an absolute ball!

But his whole career was odd to the outsider. Whatever works for him….hope he’s still doing good. Hope he’s at the Dome tomorrow. Forth and McNeil too. Would love to see all 8 of the guys who played there.
Yeah, Boeheim said that during the watch party about McNeil. And I wondered as much with Forth - is he still a Principal? I remember he was there for the 2020 Zoom Watch Party.Forth had a prior commitment. McNeil may be there tomorrow. He was supposed to come in today but his flight was canceled due to the weather.
Yup, that thing is amazing.I'd rock that Syracuse bomber jacket Melo's wearing in a heartbeat... yes please
Perhaps, this is what you're referring to? Scroll to the 11:59 mark.
It was a better game.
Pace and Edelin were great all around basketball players, but you don’t see many guards that play like that now.
Nope, but you do put it on the shelf...this is the reason why you don’t just throw 47 years in the trash
I just spoke to a friend two days ago that knows Billy very well and they said he may still show up at the game today. He coaches an AAU team which involves a lot of travel to tournaments and such. It’s really odd to me that he’s settled in Syracuse, but doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the program.

Yes, he was up on the screen as part of the “where are they now” and it said he’s retired.Have to ask, was Bernie fine acknowledged at all? I wonder how long he will be persona non grata w the school.
