you don't beat a zone with a handle... it's beaten by smart passing, spacing, and timed cutting.

That is true but if he is getting to anywhere he wants on the floor then it won't matter. As good as he is I'm actually more concerned with Anya/Malik-Abu. They will be licking their chops looking at our frontline compared to UNC's.

They are a two man team although the two are very good. There is a limit to how much the team can score given their lack of balance. If we can score we will win.

They can't play both if Lydon is the in the game -- plus they clog the lane if they're in together. It's funny NC State has all the elements that should make them scary for us: 1. an elite playmaker/PG 2. bigs who can do damage 3. shooters

but i'm still not scared. at home, on senior day; we will be fine

I watched the game and thought two things 1) Barber is good but I think less of him would have led to more wins and 2) how has that team lost so many games? - If I'm NCS I make the change and get Archie Miller in there ASAP.

PUt me down as very concerned about Saturday. I think they have more talent than their record.

Watching that game, at first I was like "Damn" then I was like "Doh". They looked like us vs UVa.

We were extremely fortunate to beat VT in the Dome and the GT game was a nail bitter. Unless we come out on fire and stay hot with our shooting (a la FSU) this game will be another highly stressful one, especially when considering what's riding on it.

Also a role player averaging 3 points per game...going off for 24 on 10-12 shooting.

Archie Miller would make them instantly a big problem. His Dayton teams are the kinds of teams that give us big problems. Bunch of 6-3 to 6-8 guys who are physical and defend. Bunch of guys who can handle and shoot on the offensive end.

I think AlaskaSU is right in the sense that Barber is the only guy who can handle the ball. That's just not enough guys. We should know how that feels. But, I do think they more than two guys who can beat you.

They have one shooter in Rowan, 1 elite scorer (mainly on drives/pull-ups) in Barber and that's really it for shooters

That all goes out the window this year. Plenty of teams have the bed from 3 but destroyed us in or near the paint.

Sorry, didn't see that. Yeah not really worried about that. But, if Barber is routinely getting into the teeth of the defense and setting them up with easy and rhythm 3s then it could be a problem.

It's still a concern, it's just that there are far more glaring weaknesses defending the interior than usual. I was watching Bryce Johnson just swat away their close looks and thinking boy that would be nice to have.
