It's so apparent there is decided lack of outside zone and counter action in the run offense. It's all inside zone or Dungey running out of the zone read. The only designed outside runs by anyone besides the QB seem to be jet sweeps.

I get it's the Baylor offense and most of their runs were inside zone to, but it would be nice to see some runs with the RB designed to get towards the outside alleys.

Thank you! I'd love to see a simple counter play...some type of misdirection.

And why we're at it, I've never been impressed with the "route trees". There doesn't appear to be a whole lot of scheming used to get receivers open.

we have WR running open all over.. dont throw to them all that often.. still when you play this scheme you get a lot of man D and that means guys have to beat guys.. we ran some toss/sweep stuff in one of the early games but have never come back to it

Agreed. I think a more accurate QB who reads the D better will make the scheme look better. Eric is so good at avoiding sacks and making something out of nothing that it can mask the possible success available elsewhere.
