Expecting this team to rebound is lunacy.

The bigger issue is Buddy and Cole missing shots and Joe giving away 2-3 possessions without being presssured.

Every offensive possession with this team hs to be productive.

Agreed but this team is goign to give away a bunch of possessions a game, their not built to maximize. Joe's a 2 trying to play the point and 4 of the 5 guys have a green light anytime anywhere and don't usually hesitate. Add that to the fact that we have no ability to drive outside of Jimmy and you get this offense which will struggle mightily at times to score.

Yep can’t win by scoring 53. Buddy has to get that 3pt percentage up to high 30’s. Our defense has improved. Our rebounding has not and likely won’t. The effort was pretty good although at some pony you have to grab those 50/50 balls. Absolutely need our 3 point snipers to hit at a very high rate. We are nine games in and Buddy is less than 30% and that is a problem.

I simply don’t think we have the talent to be efficient offensively on a consistent basis.

Nova stuck to Cole like glue as expected. Buddy missed shots and Joe got some looks.

Emotional game for Cole as well. Cole had no legs left late either after rebounding well for a while.

Sorry, but this was Villanova. We outrebounded FSU. Nova is not a big team nor a particularly good rebounding team.

Tonight, The Boeheims tallied 2.
Edwards, who has 6 inches on all of the Nova roster, got 6.

Rebounding was absolutely an issue tonight. They had 22 more shots than we did.

Almost every Nova board was they got off the floor faster with their 6-7 athletes.

Yep Nova went after boards and while we got a bit unlucky with ropes balls out of bounds we simply got out worked. Two Boeheim’s played a lot minutes an s had two more rebounds (and one more assist) than a dead man. We don’t have a large marching for error and very possession matters. Need optimal effort from our team.

Yep. Complete lack of interest and effort.

Watch our offense too. M2M defenders just stay at home on man. We run in circles. 4 assists….

The athleticism difference was night and day. It was like watching SU play vs Cornell or usually Colgate (save for this year) just going over or around an SU guy for a rebound whenever we actually happened to be in position. They also had multiple guys hitting the glass, we had Edwards and Swider thats it.

it’s men against boys from an athletic perspective and I’m probably doing boys a disservice. Any team that can run a disciplined offense and make shots is going destroy this team because it’s just too easy to make shots.

Also not sure why someone thought it was a good idea to run an iso offense with a team that will generally be at an athletic disadvantage in at least 3 positions.

Love JB, but this program needs a new vision Because what we have now make no sense.

I am somewhat surprised so many on here still watch the games or attend the games with the sour taste it seems this program gives y'all.

There is so much hand wringing and yet this game came down to 3 great passes by Nova and 2 tough shots along with 5 shots missed by Buddy he should absolutely have made. Yes rebounding, yes athleticism but it came down to those 10 plays in the second half.

We don't have the guard play to run on ball screens. I'd like to see more screening away - weakside screening, shooters curling off down screens and vacating. Jesse can post up if the D switches on those screens. That entry pass would be easier than hitting him on rolls in traffic.

JB is clearly trying to get Jesse more touches. If this offense is to get better, he is a big part of the answer.

Screens yes. But watch the defenders on the other guys. No help needed.
