You know how these guys think:

1. Marrone isn't there anymore. In his mind he "owes" Syracuse nothing.
2. It's all out war and you kick and back stab to get to where you want to go.

Hate both answers - but it's how they think.

What's wrong with the way our program is run? I tend to think Penn State has some major advantages over SU, don't you?

This was obvious the second the NCAA gave Penn State back all those scholarships. This kid is Penn State's recruiting ground, but they didn't have room at the Inn for him because of the scholarship reductions. I am disappointed but feel this coaching staff can find recruits to build the program back up. However, the NCAA for giving Penn State those scholarships back and hammering USC with 30 lost scholarships because Reggie Bush's parents took money and what Joe Pa/ and Penn State's lack of institutional control cost those innocent children.

Which is why when it comes to football recruits I don't get too excited until they are actually here on campus (between academics and flipping, it's always a roll of the dice).

It happens all the time - to everyone. Spend a few days watching the scroll on the U and you'll see. It just sucks when it happens to you, and I really hate losing kids in Jersey, where we need to make up ground.

The main difference is that at the football mills, they have a nearly unlimited supply of guys to move on to. We don't and in many cases, the guys they move onto are our top targets.
