We have officially one-upped Calipari...

Kyrie Irving, 11/37 and done.
Chris McCullough, 16/31 and done.

That's a interesting comparison. At least the consensus was Kyrie was much more ready when he declared. But good luck to Chris. I'll only be upset if he causes an APR issue by not taking care of business in the classroom. He grew up in much different circumstances than I ever did so I can't tell him what to do.

Just putting that out there, not really making any comparison between the two situations. I too wish him luck, and believe he will have a successful NBA career.

As has been mentioned in other threads, perhaps Chris is leaving now out of concern that another injury (or a disappointing sophomore performance) could dash his NBA dreams entirely. Clearly, he was never staying had he remained healthy. Who I am to tell him not to get paid now to rehab by an NBA team that presumably sees him in their plans or sees value in drafting him?

I know you say that you're "not really making any comparison between the two situations", but in posting this you kind of are.

And I will reply by saying that one of the players was one of the best players in the country in just 11 games. He had 31 pts. against Michigan State and 28 against Arizona. He was also a consensus top 3 pick.

The other, in contrast, was struggling to average double figures and is not even remotely close to being a lock to go in the bottom of the first round or anywhere at this point.

i think nerlens noel is the best comparison. blew out acl. only thing is, noel's draft prospects were much better.

Which is why - if he's hell bent on going pro now - he is smart to be going with Noel's agent.
Hope it works for him...but he's not Nerlins Noel.

Welcome to the era of the none-and-done.

I wish the NBA would agree not to take players until after their Sophomore year. The D-League is a waste. CBB is so popular and would be so much more interesting with better players.
