What is defining upset. Beating the favorite or beating the higher seeds. Im sure there have been times we were a 9 seed or 10 seed and still considered the favorite
That was the MCW/Triche spanking.Lol how delicious was it beating MSU in 2018?
The MCW spanking of Oladipo and the Hoosiers was great too
Good stat.
Great point. At first, I thought wow, that's impressive. However, there is a reason you don't see a team like Duke, Kansas, or UNC on that list. This is kinda cool, but I would rather be seeded high enough that we don't get that many chances to pull upsets.
BTW, I believe 3 of those wins came in 2003 when we won the BiG 12 on our way to the NC.
I think we might have a spot on that list as well.Good stat.
I'd like to see the reverse stats. i.e. Most losses by the favoured team...I'm guessing we may see some different shades of the blue bloods ...lol
Butler probably got 10 of those 11 in the 2 years they made their FF runs.
Brad Stevens ain’t walking back thru that door.
So - where’s Georgetown?

I mean, the top two teams on that list are no slouches. In their past 10 tournament appearances, MSU has been a top-4 seed 6 times and Villanova 7 times. I don't really think it's an indictment of a program to be on that list.
Roy Williams has never lost in the first round. I know he's been a high seed most of the time, but the fact he's avoided the dreaded first round upset is very impressive.
You have to make the tournament to pull an upset....So - where’s Georgetown?
Richmond, Navy, Vermont, have to stop there I’m gonna barf.I think we might have a spot on that list as well.
