I wouldn't go as far as calling UVA's threes lucky. But, we fought really hard. We are an NCAA tournament team.

UVA is a very good team, SU played hard and well overall. Good effort, almost pulled it off. They shoot the 3 great so I will never say they were lucky but we made them earn it.

They weren't lucky 3's. They executed and made shots. As did we. I was most surprised in that we stayed close with 3 of our core players (Joe, Kadary and Griff) all being subpar. If we get in, some 5 seed is not going to be happy.

They are well coached for sure. But just about every time I see them play, I come away shaking my head in complete wonderment on how a team of this consistent makeup continues to win.

UVA, even in this year when there are few excellent teams, is over rated BUT they are a good team deserving of a good ranking. Cuse, having beaten two good teams prior to this showed they belong. They won’t get it but they should be a 7 seed...or better.

Could have been our ball at the end, but the ref counted to 5 like I counted my years at SU:

Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Senior, Senior, Senior. I never made it to 5 either.
