I am not a coach Red fan at all, however we just took the number 3 team in the country to OT early in the season, foul shots killed us, but man did we not get any help from the refs at all. No travel call, no foul at end of the game, lose the challenge, it was a loaded deck against us for sure. Beat Kansas or Tennessee still a good event for us, win both and everybody would have taken that 10 out of 10 times.

I can’t explain the free throws. We are 1000x better than last year. I am not a fire the coach guy. But, yes, I do think we’re at least equally as talented as Houston and I do think coaching had a large negative impact on the game. Free throws aside, we needed some set plays to get us points when we needed them. We did not run anything. The end of regulation just wasn’t good. Neither was the end of the first half. Neither was the long three at the end of OT. Again, free throws aside, you just can’t win meaningful games this way. Can we beat middling ACC teams, yes, but as a Syracuse fan who wants to see the program back, we need to win important games. Otherwise, we’re just back to going nowhere fast

I think Kiyan will settle into shooting the like 70’s this year. He did that in HS so there’s hope for him. JJ and Kyle are another story unfortunately.

In Vegas. Hate to blame refs, but there were some flaming bad calls...against Cuse. Game changers. Need to get a psychic guru for the foul shots. Not kidding either, they need to get a foul shooting guru into practices. Therapist for positive thinking at the line.

Way too many missed free throws. 12-29 is pathetic.

That still doesn't mean we can't blame the refs who let a clear foul go with 1 second left. First guy clearly got a lot of arm. We had it won if they make that call and he just makes one out of two FTs. And then they compound that 'missed' call with a ridiculous foul on us with 47.7 seconds left trailing by 2 in OT instead of calling a travel.
