And we looked a lot better on O in transition than we do in our halfcourt sets. It'd be nice if we had one more true point guard whom could push the tempo like Ennis.
It'll be interesting to see if under Hopkins we'll get back to being up-tempo more often. This play 6 men, play the numbers game, weave and iso, weave and iso, knuckle scraping dog fight stuff is for the birds. Give me 7-8 playing a team game in a system offense with maximum effort and all interchangeable all season long, any day.
It is utterly amazing how a 4 conference-win team can leave us grasping for imaginary balloons.
Roberson looked good. Not great, but good. His footwork and awareness when running the floor, and that nice little dump off to Ennis were signs to me that he was worthy of playing time all along. He could be a keeper.
This team cannot afford to be imperfect. And by imperfect I mean missing their FTs and dribbling off their feet. With so much on the line, we have become very unclutch.
So much for a reboot...
