Forgive my bad memory, but who was the last NC from the west coast / west coast league? Who even made the FF? Is Kansas the last school west of the Mississippi to win a NC?

Kansas is the last west of the Mississippi to make the final four. UCLA made it 2006-2008

1997: Arizona
1995: UCLA
1990: UNLV

To answer my own question, schools from west of Kansas/Oklahoma/Texas have only occupied 10 out of 104 FF slots since 1990. And those positions were taken by 5 different schools. I know there are fewer schools west of Kansas, but that seems like a very low number. Isn't California the most populous state? Back when I was in school (circa 1970) people use to complain how UCLA/USC/UNLV were dominating the tourney.

I had a very pleasant Saturday evening/Sunday morning out here. The Arizona fans were over the top confident. And think Sean Miller is the 2nd coming of Vince Lombardi. Very, very nice to reiterate to all the 'Zonies that their conference last won a championship last century.
