If the donations thing is true...then I can see the resentment from the Lally's and other big donors who probably thought AW was getting special treatment just because he brought some celebs to games without any real contribution. It's not like those celebs were making donations either...

The hoops NIL is not as dire as you or ET and ED make it out to be this year. George is getting paid as much or more than McCord this year. So is Freeman. We actually have made progress. This noise is annoying. And yes we could always use more money.

At this point the school should step in and address this stuff because it’s going to be an issue so long as Adam is allowed to give his side and nobody else steps in. Maybe there’s a reason for that. I don’t know what happened but I’m frankly annoyed that there’s a lot of bickering and nobody is helping the school. Everyone is just causing damage. And Adam isn’t an alum so his loyalty is clearly only to himself. This has gone on enough.

So townies can’t be loyal to the local school they support.

You can kick rocks with that alum comment. I’m not an alum, I was born and raised here and Syracuse sports has been a huge part of my life. The insinuation that attending SU somehow makes people better than is so unbelievably lame.

Winning will make alot of these problems go away. Until then I expect this garbage to continue. If Autry can string something together to get some credibility back into the hoops program I think some tunes will change.

Just ask yourselves if AW or the Lally's will have these ridiculous comments when we win some big games and get in the tourney next year. Not like anyone wanted to watch any of our games this year whether it be us peasants or the billionaires. When we start winning both of them and their rich buddies and friends will be back in their big boxes or courtside seats. Not to mention Melo being at all the games next year.

Easy for everyone to argue and point fingers when we suck, alot harder if we get back to form. Alot of BIG Ifs above by the way.

The whole idea of relying on donors isn’t sustainable. It’s fine in the short term, but it’s not going to last. Providing money for a building project or as an endowment is one thing. Expecting donors to dish out large sums of money every year, often without any mensurable return or tangible effect, is a losing cause.
