Western Michigan Attendance

I couldnt get over how full it looked up top in light of the tickets that appeared to be available and that appeared to be with a broker.

Yup, that was definitely not a "46k and manspreading" crowd. It was pretty much full in there. (And the biggest empty spot was the top of the student overflow which I think we can all agree is a reasonable area for SU to count "tickets distributed" regardless of who shows up.)

48ish and spreading out.

I will say that it was telling that in our less-than-appealing seats, after a summer of our rep saying nothing was available, we were able to fit two extra friends into our row and we still weren't exactly shoulder-to-shoulder.

So yeah, I think your description fits.

Last week was for the rowdies, this week will be much more fun to bring the kids/family. Give me 36k and a calmer atmosphere after last week.

Glad I didn't have my 7 year old in tow last week in that sauna, traversing the halls, or trying to keep his attention in a game we were out classed. This week we'll go 2-0 with him in attendance.

Can't make this week but I bought tix for Holy Cross and thinking that'll be a perfect game to bring my 4 year old to for her first game.

Brave man but good man. I held out til my son was 6. He was content to sit the entire game much to my surprise but didn't hurt that it was the 51-41 win over NC State. I was ready to go for many walks if need be as I'm sure you are as well. Holy Cross SHOULD be perfect for that

Exactly my thought. It's the one game I'll DVR and if we end up leaving a little early it won't matter too much and I'll watch the game again at home. She'll be 5 in December so really closer to 5 then 4 but not expecting she'll be able to sit through the whole thing either.

I brought my sons to the first games when they were 3, they had a season ticket at 4. I spent alot of gametime in the restrooms and concession lines but I still wouldn't trade those days and neither would my boys.

Still finalizing plans as I understand it but I understand there will be some family friendly events on the Quad pre-game and potential the opportunity to come down on the field post game.

I'm going to guess they won't run out of water this time.
Last week, and I assume all the time now, you can bring in 2 bottles of water. Who needs to spend money on water, and I am guessing they had less to sell as this was well publicized before the game.

Thanks for the info. Thought someone alluded to something about that days ago or so but couldn’t find anything online. That would be great.

the ran out of beer an hr before the game in the quad tent. not sure how that was possible

Give it time. My 12 year old LOVED the party atmosphere on campus and in the Dome. Of course that may have something to do with me being his father.

I will be there and be my usual loud cheering self. Last week despite the outcome was a dream come true for me and my Syracuse University undergraduate and MBA uncle. He had not been to a game since 1971 at Archbold when he saw Syracuse beat Holy Cross. He had just come back from Vietnam and was just starting his MBA program. He lives in North Carolina now and could not believe how loud the crowd was. That does make a difference folks so if you are there tomorrow and I hope a lot of us are, be FREAKING LOUD. Go Orange!!!!

Looking at TM we’d be lucky to have 32,000. Someone correct me if Im off.

According to the Ticketmaster hawks, we were supposed to have an empty upper deck vs Clemson. We know how it’ll work out. It’ll be weak at kick off and fill up to around what we got for the lville game last year.

Has Dino been informed? He has to know Clemson was a one off until the team starts to show something, right? He made a comment on the radio last week that all the home games are sold out.

Did a number ever come out for how many season ticket holders there are this year?

It would seem that the announced attendance floor for all games would be much higher this year, with 9,000+ new season ticket holders?
