This years record in close games is amazing. But what factors account for this success?
Normally, I would expect an incredible BBall IQ and a couple deadly clutch free throw shooters. But this year that does not seem to be the case. I don't even know who I would really want at the line if the game is tight.
The Wisky game seemed like a typical type close game victory. The game had the end of half error. It also had what I considered to be a blunder when SU didn't attack the basket after it broke the press with 25 seconds left. It also had big free throw misses at the end. And it also had SU winning just like it has in over 90% of these close ones.
How is SU doing it?
