What DePaul up 11 on Seton Hall

Marsh I don't get why this RU-St. John's game matters? UConn was 0-1 and SHU was 1-1 against RU and both teams were 1-0 against St. John's? Do you understand why? BTW RU up early 7-4.

I have no forking idea and have been racking my brain to try and research why but I can't get an explanation.

Ok found something...

Somehow if St. Johns and Rutgers win they are both 6-12 and Uconns win over Villanova is the way they win the tiebreaker.

Still makes little sense but that is what I am reading.

I think I figured it out
SHU/UConn
vs. SU, 0-1, 0-2
vs. MU- 0-1, 0-1
vs. ND 0-1. 1-1
12-6 teams
vs. Cincy 0-1, 0-1
vs. GU 1-0, 0-1
vs. USF 0-1, 1-0
both are 1-2
vs. UL 0-1, 1-0
vs. WVU 1-0, 1-0
If SJU wins the next 4 aren't tied but SJU loses then
vs. St. John's 1-0, 1-0
vs. Nova 0-1, 1-0
vs. Pitt 1-0, 1-0
vs. RU 1-1, 0-1
3-2, 3-1 UConn wins, but without the tie the RU isn't thrown out and the Nova is the difference, but if SJU wins
BUT here it is
vs. PC 1-0, 0-1

For some reason I think the Villanova win over Uconn is what is throwing a monkey wrench into it.

Correct because if RU wins it causes 2 teams to finish 6-12 and 2 finish 5-13 for Nova to be thrown out for SHU, RU has to be part of a 3 way tie with RU, Pitt, and Nova. With the 3 way tie the Nova game doesn't apply because RU played SHU 2 times and UConn once and Nova game doesn't apply, but in a 2 way tie the Nova game applies.

Ah gotcha.
It would have been a helluva lot easier if Seton Hall just showed up against the last place team.

Why are we worried about playing UConn or WVU again?

it at this point. Bring whoever steps on the court. Win or lose we are a #1 seed in the east and ready to rock.

It would be great to win the BET also but this is simply a tune up for the only thing that matters from here on out.

Well that really sucks having to play UCant a 3rd time.
