What did Brown say on Twitter when recruiting at Rutgers?

If I remember correctly we had Duce and Rutgers had Cinco, and Duce and Cuse fans were trying to get Cinco to decommit from there and come here.

I was reading the Buttgers board yesterday... they generally think Fran will be a positve or negative risk/reward hire depending on who he puts around himself in terms of coordinators/assistants.

Good split on potential success vs. failure...

A bunch saying he won't get good enough coordinators and assistants, will fail, and that we're like the Hafley situation at BC and that we would have hired Chesney first, but he likely told us "no" holding out for the BC job. Those types also saying Brown's recruiting prowess won't go very far when trying to convince recruits on going to "Siberiacuse" and that recruiting has to be "national" approach for 2nd tier schools like us, Rutgers, etc. in the NIL era.

Others are genuinely fearful he's gonna eat Schady's lunch on the recruiting trail and that if he gets solid coordinators/assistants they are in big trouble with regards to regional recruiting.

I have a friend who is a good freind of an absolutely fanatical Rutgers fan. We actually refer to him as Mr. Rutgers. His quote in a text to us was “ Syracuse hit a home run with Brown”.

I mean all these concerns and upside are merited. No one knows at all. It could be Hafley 2.0 or it could be something new and exciting.

I doubt Chesney turned us down. That's crazy to suggest.

I'd never seen a coach petty enough to post that kind of threat on Twitter. Reeked of insecurity then and still does now. You expect a coach to be above that.

It was great. I loved the banter and thought it was awesome that it got close enough for him to fire a warning shot at us. I’d want my coach to do that.
