When I was a frosh in 1989, the fraternity keg limit was 40 kegs in the house at any given time or something like that. By my senior you could have one keg but not for a party, you had to have an outside catering company come in and do all of it.

Similarly, my fake id that I inherited for first semester literally had the birthdate carved out and changed with a magic marker and it worked 70% of the time.

The times changed and it's had an impact over decades.

No kidding. I've never been a drinker so I can't really relate. But 30 without getting stupid seems impressive.

Matt’s beer ball lamps were a right of passage. Me and a guy named Kevin I barely knew on my frosh dorm floor kicked one by ourselves one stupid Friday night. I think they were about 40 12oz beers.

I have 2 buddies that could produce one on demand today. Ah the good old days when knocking back a sixer was just warming up to go out. College was so stupid at times, but fun.
