What did I do wrong at Cuse?

The husband of my associate brought his own beer to our office Christmas party which my wife and I host at our home. He said he is a beer snob and the beer was hard to find. He brought one can. He did not bring any for the hosts as a holiday gift, or for anyone else to share.
I stocked Guinness, Smithwick’s (my favorite) and Yuengling, along with a couple of IPAs (which I loathe, but it’s Christmas).
I found it to be rude.

That is indeed rude.

Yes, it is rude.

Dude shoulda brought at least a 4-pack of said beer, so others could also enjoy it.

My neighbor does a big Festivus party every year, it was 2 weeks ago, and I brought 2 sixes:
Mad Elf & SN Celebration Ale.

Both seasonal-only and the former can sometimes be hard to get.

tl/dr - it’s ok to be a beer snob;
just don’t be a hoarding douchecanoe about it.

If you want to step back in time you need to go here, $2.50 PBR's all day and night long. And if you get hungry then its $6 for a PBR, Fried Bologna sandwich, chips and a moon pie. But, you have to love real authentic honky tonk music.

And 90% of the people might be older than you. But it's a great bucket list experience.

maybe its just me but I still buy old 80's beer in the store constantly. This summer was a crap ton of Utica club, and it was on tap a lot of places as well

I love that place. I first discovered Robert’s in 2006 when lower Broadway was not so popular. They had great shows with the house band on Friday and Saturday nights. Brazil Billy runs a good place.

20 years ago,my son was partying playing pong with his brothers. We were all drinking some cheap beer even though a Coors was one of the brothers.

We were running low on beer so I volunteered to make a beer run. I got to the store and picked up a couple cases and the store owner asks “ATO parent”?
Umm...

That's as bad as someone who brings a twelve pack and then takes home what doesn't get consumed.

That guy sounds like an arrogant snob.

I'm a beer snob and bring my own to somethings but ALWAYs bring a ton to share with interested guests and even more to leave with host. I have a lot of friends who do the same when we host. the beer nerds appreciate it and the novices like trying new things

The rude thing is when someone comes over with old, stale beer that they are "sharing." They are clearly cleaning out their fridge and deserve punishing blows to the head and abdomen.

I would have taken it out of his hand poured it in a pint glass then dropped in a shot glass of Old Crow. Merry Xmas Dbag.

Got some of my college text books in one of those boxes…been in the basement crawl space for 32 years and it’s good as new.
