I agree with you TigerTown. The kids can make all the difference. Also, decide the major then pick a school that is known for that major.

That's ok. I have never meet a Syracuse grad who runs a farm. :p FWIW I understand you feel like working at NASA makes you smart but truth is that means jack $%#. I have a buddy who graduated from Francis Marion(yea I know you haven't heard of it) who could likely run circles around when it comes to brains. Guess smart people DO go places other than Syracuse and work places other than NASA...WHO KNEW??

BTW I am just having some fun with this thread.

whilst i hear where you are coming from, that any and all institutions pump out some very smart individuals, running circles around a dude working at NASA seems unlikely. Seeing as those sons of bit ches figured out how to nuke a meteor heading for your back yard... I bet they are selective on who they hire. I'm stupid as hell though. So i'm gonna go to kick some rocks.

I've met 3 and interact with 2 on a regular basis the last two years of my life. Two of them didn't go to college, so what's your point?

Guy who lives in(basically owns) my home town is worth about 200 mil and didnt get past the 8th grade but my wife's sister has a degree from a very good liberal arts college and cant find a decent job. Funny how life works sometimes.

good cuz i dont want to punch nasa in the face. we'll talk football but we'll also rationalize the possibility of a loss by saying we are smart and sheiit... it may be all we have (not me i'm stupid and i didn't go to SU).
