I deactivated Twitter, so won't be posting Tweets. Dude let Alex Jones back on? No thanks. So, I guess it's a 5 star commit.

I certainly understand that. But I just delete all the political trash from my thread, and try to leave only sports news (for which it is, unfortunately, the best). Of course, I have to rescrub it every couple days, but there is literally nothing else that people use - yet.

It's not rocket science.

Just change the "x.com" to "twitter.com" before hitting send.

Takes maybe 10 seconds.
Do you hunt and peck? 1.5 seconds flat if you were born post 1980. ;)

While we’re on the subject, why is the extra step necessary?

The change from Twitter to X caused some changes on their side that this site's script couldn't handle. The next update of this site will hopefully fix the problem.

I can't believe how much people use their phones for internet. I only use it to look things up, not to watch them or try to read anything very long.
I broke my personal lap top that was on its last legs a week ago been miserable using my phone so much but I’m not going to use the company one for posting on here.

Yeah, there is a principle to it for me. A couple probably. Shame that nothing else picked up the huge opportunity there. I basically don't have that consumption channel in my life anymore. It was the best for newsy stuff. I tried Mastodon & Threads & some others, they just never gained quite the same level of activity. I do use Reddit more. Ah well. Honestly just surprised to see people still using it so much. Haven't logged in in about a year.
