Why is NJ seemingly so much better at producing HS talent than NY?
 
Public schools no difference

Private schools HUGE difference

Their parochial leagues are where the majority of their prospects come from
 
Probably because Marrone isn't a coach in NJ and rubbing off on the entire state H.S. football system.
 
Because they actually have off season training allowed by the state and much, MUCH bigger schools.

Also way more games.
 
There is some space to play in their N Jersey and Philly area population centers. Just not case in NYC.
 
nj is much more sophisticated in athletic organization starting in the primary grades and up. greater emphasis on training, practice,which includes spring, many of which are run by team captains, our local h.s. played 12 games this year(including playoff) coaching is excellent----having lived in syracuse and nj there is no real comparison to coaching, committment , emphasis and support by the local communities. just the way it is.by the way nj wrestling is also excellent.
