When you either overthrow or take too long to throw or throw too slow, putting a receiver in a dangerous position over the middle, and giving the D too much time to react, leading to big hits on prone receivers & injuriesWhat's a coffin throw?
thank you for putting into way too many words all the things none of us were thinking
Most of this board never knowsEveryone said Justin Lamson was good and he transferred to Stanford and he started one game then transferred to Montana State. You just never know.
Agree. Fans it’s just speculation. However we have seen Ricky and he is not doing good so far. Fans just want to win and hope maybe someone else can be effective to win games. Most of this board never knows
In fairness, that applies to many of our past head coaches as well. Most of this board never knows
1) When people say that it can’t get any worse… nonsense, it can ALWAYS get worse. It’s entirely possible that Carney is completely incapable of running an offense against a P4 defense.
2) When people say that if you bench Collins then you can’t bring him back to play… nonsense, this sort of thing happens all the time. Sometimes it’s actually helpful for a guy to sit and watch and relax. That approach worked with Troy Nunes.
3) I’m really not sure it matters all that much in the grand scheme of this season. We likely have 2 winnable games left on the schedule, and we’ll win them with defense and a running game regardless of who’s under center.
Thinking realistically if they hadn't bought in Steve we would be 1-5 and in ESPN's bottom 10. That's how bad Rickie has been.I would like to see Carney. But yesterday wasn’t the time nor place. And it does not necessarily need to be a wholesale switch.
Maybe we can go two back sets, and run "option" since it is kinda in our play book. We have the inside zone runs and the swing passes to the RBs. RPO that stuff all day since it is safe.
BTW where are the RB passes this year?
Why was it the wrong shoulder? Do you know the route? I have never seen a RB on a screen looking for the throw facing the backfield...usually, they are stationary. And if it is a wheel route, usually they curl downfield to catch the pass with momentum into the end zone. Given the number of drops by Willis and his inability to hit the hole hard all game... and Nixon being the better receiving RB by far... don't be too sure about that one.Collins had Willis for a TD but threw it to the wrong shoulder and way off mark. So, like any other pass, Collins can't hit it.
He missed Willis by a mile. He was wide open in the flat. Anyone with eyes could see Collins missedWhy was it the wrong shoulder? Do you know the route? This is the post. We're arguing over 7 wins or 5 wins in my opinion too. Yea it matters for the team and culture and fanbase but it does not matter nearly as much for next year as people are blowing this up.1) When people say that it can’t get any worse… nonsense, it can ALWAYS get worse.
