White? He wasn't even mentioned in the recent article about young offensive linemen.

Was always a 2-3 year project, seemed to be the consensus.

He played G at the spring game.
I think most people said it would be 2-3 years to get him into ACC shape.

The recurring thought from people that know far more about football than I seems to be that we don't want to see incoming FR to see the field until year three.

White was always put into that "raw potential/project" with major upside during his recruitment.

His HS coach said it would take three years for him to be ready. So that is next season.

I arrive early to watch warm ups and White looks like the most out of shape OL on the team. Reminds me of GRob era lineman.

“2-3 years” to get an 18 year old into shape is a staggering statement.
It’s more getting his body built up and ready for the rigors of college football not just being out of shape. He’s a big kid whose body will be totally changed.

Not staggering at all. In fact, most need 2-3 years. OL/DL is a brutal position and there are very few true freshmen (e.g. NG) able to handle 600 pounds of OL crashing into them for 50-60 snaps a game.

Kids his size who show up ready to play go to alabama.
And if he had been in that shape he would have probably been one of them. He wasn’t so we take the investment for the pay off a few years down the line

People get all wrapped up in star rankings, and assumed he's be a player because he had 4 stars on some site. I look at recruit rankings from NY with a grain of salt.

Depends on how he continues to develop over next 8-10 months, could end up a three year starter, starting next year.
