The SU people looked good in orange sitting in the corner behind the bench. What % of the crowd was orange last night?

The WAER guys post game said that SU fans outnumbered all the other schools combined. Not sure about that.

In the player post game interviews, Southerland says that it was 75% SU. Though this could be a bit of an exaggeration.

I'd say we were about 60-70% of the place. It was rocking pretty good

This. First half was a morgue because you have 1/2 the fans still in the bars, etc. Second half was rocking. Why they make the Garden take down all the banners is such NCAA nonsense. That game, as well played as it was, deserved to be played under the 17 Boston Celtic banners and assorted retired numbers. It was that good.

I would say about 65-70% SU, but I was in the middle of a huge SU section in the Upper Deck...we were definitely pretty loud in there...so much fun

I'd agree 60% SU. The Badger sections were very vocal. Also, as you'd expect, they had the support of the OSU and Cinci fans, so it felt fairly even.

Let's hope it's a madhouse Sat. night. Nothing will ever touch Albany '03 vs. OK but I hope it comes close.

In '03 when I looked around I thought, "wow, this is unfair". Then Hollis Price threw his first pass into the fifth row. And it was over. More of the same please. I never sat that game. No one did. This game is just as big. Represent. Be loud.

I would say 50-60%, probably closer to 60. There was a lot of Orange there, but you have to remember that 3 other schools got seats. No way it was 75%

I'd forecast 75+% Orange. It was already an orange dominated audience. With the Badger and Bearcat fans who rooted against us gone and with their tix going to mostly SU fans, it s/b an Orange love-fest.

The crowd was awesome. Huge syracuse turnout.

Very impressive Cuse turnout. I would venture to say 70%. Wisconsin, OSU and Cinci had their little alotted sections and then that was really it in a sold out arena. Place was LOUD. If Cuse fans gobble up the open tix for tomorrow, we could have a massive crowd!

My wife used to work for SU -- she said last night "Boston is an SU town, we were planning on putting a satellite admissions office there because of all the students and alums in the area." Thought that was interesting, I wonder if that actually ever happened.

at one point when the crowd got up and we started the run in the 1st half, the tv announcers said it was like they were in the Dome.

No doubt they'll be more Orange tomorrow. We'll buy up most of Wiscy and UC's tickets.

Two reinforcements coming in tomorrow...lets turn the Garden into the Dome...War Damn Otto

It was insane at that point. Place was electric. Still cant believe Bo didnt call a timeout.

We earned the #1 seed, for home-court advantage like this.

Now we know how Duke/UNC feel, playing in Greensboro or Charlotte every eyar. :)

That game was crazy, was right behind the Oklahoma band in the student section. And why would you ever put the SU student section directly behind the opponent's band? It was as bad as you would imagine it to be.

The whole game was like a coronation.

id say 70%. upper deck was almost all orange. my voice is shot today, that run in the 1st half was the most fun ive ever had at a cuse game. i was going freakin bonkers. to echo longislandcuse, cannot fathom why bo ryan didnt call timeout.

tomorrow should be at least 75% orange, glad we got the later game, more time for us get more liquored up and more rowdy.

I was in 328... And about 5 seconds in to the last possession, the lady behind us screamed"we need SOME noise! Why is it so quiet?"

I realized everyone was standing but u could hear a pin drop. It was definitely the quietest part of the game. I think I was so nervous I couldn't make noise.

Just an odd observation...

Other than that it was a pretty clear orange advantage in both color and noise.

Very encouraging replies which bodes well for Saturday. I watched the game in a bar after work with some cousins of mine; one of the things I appreciate most about SU hoops is that it brings me together with family members more often. I'm getting off track...the sound was on in the bar for the game in Norwalk CT no less, and we weren't the only SU fans in the joint. Was hard tto follow the commentary though let alone judge crowd noise. I couldn't really tell from the crowd shots either, I think I've been rendered colorblind ever since seeing Louisville in person at the BET, distinguishing between orange and red has been a challenge since then. Considering that all 4 teams there wore orange or red, for all I know the place coulda been 100% SU fans or 10%.

let's just say walking around the garden between games, I over heard multiple people bitching about how many syracuse fans were there
