The Yahoo article discusses the need to have these deals cleared by the CSC. It also mentions that deals with commercial businesses may be easier to clear than NIL deals with collectives.

Tennessee switched from Adidas to Nike not all that long ago. Leading to a lot of complants, they did the same thing to them as they did to us, using "Vols" for teams of both genders and getting rid of LadyVols for everything except women's basketball.

TBH this is a bare minimum thing that should be happening. Why shouldn't players get cuts of jersey sales, t-shirts, etc? Nothing to do with an "NIL Arms Race".

Players SHOULD get this money.
