When was the last time an opposite team had more athletic guards then us?

i cant tell if you're being serious or mocking some on the board.

People are choosing to take what I said to the extreme. Maybe I didn't word it in the best fashion oh well.

Cooney's gonna lose his spot to Buss or BJ, mark my words.

Edit: Cooney should be a 6th man anyways. He's just not athletic enough for to help out Ennis onto of the zone in my opinion. Cooney's good for transition and spark plugging.
I know releases near the end of the year tend to stay with us for year end awards, but this has dumbest post of the year written all over it.

You said Cooeny is going to lose his starting spot to Buss or BJ, correct? Mark your words? Not sure how that can be taken wrong.

When I first read it, I thought it was an old post after a shaky exhibition game or something. You posted that TONIGHT?

I won't try explaining myself. There's no winning when you're backed up against the whole forum. I'll take the criticism and the "dumb post of the year" bs.

Everyone has their bad posts. I'll admit this was not one of my finer.

Is it so ridiculous? Tonight was a great game, but it was one game.

How many games have you now said that. Cooney's gonna start the next 3 years.

Don't sweat it, I disagree with you 100% because once JB anoints one a starter they rarely loose their spot, but I can see the reasons why some people might think he could lose it.

I for one think Patterson will play great off the bench as an energy guy but may never start here depending on who we recruit the next 3 years and if Ennis is a 4 year player or not. Cooney will be a starter this year and the next 3 IMHO, even if his minutes are cut back like Triche's were.

Sometimes I get overly critical and worried about the guys I expect the most out of. Cooney's ability to maintain a presence around the perimeter as a scoring threat will be crucial for our offense this year. Perhaps I'm already over worried and unfairly "bashing" Cooney. I'm extremely proud of the kid, and hope he keeps up the success and proves my post as boneheaded as it already seems.

Again, apologies everyone.

Jeremy can tell you, it's a, in this case, 4o minute game.

Another in a long line of Nassib is no good and never will be good, we are better off when Lemon gets less catches, JoJo can't play, MCW doesn't have it, posts.

Never.

All time best is the Theus > MCW. Didn't think there was a post capable of that much insanity.

There is no better person to sit next to and watch a game with than Jeremy. It's like being on a roller coaster without going to Six Flags .

Cooney is the 2nd leading scorer on the team averaging 14.8 points per game. (wasn't there a crazy thread on over/under 8 points a game?) He's 2nd on the team for steals trailing Tyler Ennis by one. He's shooting 49% from 3 and 85% from the free throw line. He's has 8 turnovers this 6 game season , the same as Tyler Ennis and way behind our best player CJ who has 24. Cooney also has 12 assists this season, 2nd to Ennis and a positive assist to turnover %.

I'll take that bet, no way he's starting this year and the next three....ain't happening.

In fact I'll be even more specific- I bet he will start the next 2 years and won't start 3 years from now.

Louisville and UConn the past few years are a couple of examples

Cooney is going to lose his starting spot? Didn't know it was still the off-season.

Small correction - Cooney will only have 2 years left after this year. But yeah, it's hard to see where Buss will start, given recruiting timelines.

Like all players, Cooney will struggle from time to time. I thought I was going to have an aneurism after the second turnover last night. That doesn't mean he won't keep his starting spot. The glass isn't always half empty.

dude, we have officially seen the 8 man rotation. I hate to say it, but Buss and BJ aren't on there this year. and neither is Roberson.

Who cares about athleticism, trevor and tyler have skill. I'll take that over athleticism any day. We are trying to win the ACC and make a run in the NCAA's, were not trying to be an NBA D league team.
