He missed some open deep balls. The one to Broyld was under pressure and it looked like he bailed out instead of stepping into the throw.

I think they would have gone to Allen after the half had it not been for the one bomb Hunt connected on before the half.
Hunt did not play well, he had one and a half drives (bomb to West) that he played well on and orchestrated a TD. The other score obviously came on the trickeroo play.
What Hunt was today, was not bad. He wasn't good, just not bad. He has to score more than 7 points to win games at the D1 level. Today he gave us seven, our defense and a trick play gave us 6 more, and the D allowed nothing today. It was enough to win, but on just about any other day, it wouldn't have even come close to being enough from the QB position to win a game.

Need millhouse, but I think his rating was 100 today.
Which for him is otherworldly, but in general is pretty lousy.
No INTs is great though.
Super win, he starts next week.

That first half pass selection probably didn't help his confidence at all.
For a guy who isn't a very accurate passer right now, he was trying to hit some difficult targets.
Let's just hope he builds on this somehow. The schedule doesn't get any easier.

I think we started building something different today. Some nice play by freshman. I think Hunt did ok. I think his option to run is huge. Many of the passes were just misses. If he starts connecting on some of those we have a really good QB. I am not ready to throw on the towel. I have not seen anything from Allen that makes me want to go with him over Hunt. Allen is gone after 4 more games. Or really after 3 cause Fl. St. does not count.
