yeah, wassupwitdat?Oh is doing fine for a walk-on. I find it interesting that Fran prefers him to the Cornell kicker.

From what I saw, the timing was perfect, the hold was just off by 90 degrees.I think Oh has shown a good leg and I believe the one he missed was a bad snap that threw off timing. (Would have to go back and watch to confirm), I think he’s got promise. Part me me thinks tha lack of confidence is with the entire unit.
Didn’t he catch the snap up by his right shoulder though and have to pull it down? It think it caused Oh to have to wait even for a split second. By the way why are there nc state guys through the line way before the kick. From what I saw, the timing was perfect, the hold was just off by 90 degrees.

Come on now, this couldn't be on the ST coach.I don't think the kickers are largely the problem. Snaps are sloppy, holds are suspect or blocking is shite OR any combination of the 3. Kickers are rightfully nervous and rushing through processes
Agreed. Its a snap issue.I don't think the kickers are largely the problem. Snaps are sloppy, holds are suspect or blocking is shite OR any combination of the 3. Kickers are rightfully nervous and rushing through processes
Not if you ever tried to kick with laces in.Laces and where they are when the ball is kicked is the most over hyped thing in all of football.
Too small a sample size. Let's wait and see.why do you feel that?
This is so wrong.Laces and where they are when the ball is kicked is the most over hyped thing in all of football.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but the second field goal that Oh missed probably wasn't his fault. It was a bad hold. The laces were facing to the left which likely caused the shank.
But I feel like our offense inside the 20 is not as efficient.I think Oh has been solid. He missed one but the extra points and short yardage have been good. We have the offense to go for it with confidence in “no man’s land.” I think Fran going for it on 4th downs was more confidence in McCord and the offense than lack of confidence in Oh from 30 yards.
It has been fairly solid, we are scoring on 84% of red zone trips. The missed field goals hurt that stat. For some reason the play calling against NC State became very conservative inside the 20. I don’t like taking the ball out of Mccord’s hand like we did. I think we are trying to establish the run too much in certain situations. We moved the ball between the 20s very easily against NC State and then tried to establish the run in the red zone with some goofy formations and play calls. If it ain’t broke…. We got too cutesy. But I feel like our offense inside the 20 is not as efficient.
Denaberg is Einhorn?
I feel like we are watching different games... you can actually see the lack of confidence in the coaches faces when it gets to 4th downs.
like mud on a golf ball?
But I feel like our offense inside the 20 is not as efficient.
Because our ST coach has a blocking optional policyDidn’t he catch the snap up by his right shoulder though and have to pull it down? It think it caused Oh to have to wait even for a split second. By the way why are there nc state guys through the line way before the kick.
Is #13 standing on our snapper? From what I saw, the timing was perfect, the hold was just off by 90 degrees.

This seems right to me.I think 75% of the problem is with kick protection. When it's not there, snaps get hurried, kicker is peaking, coach fears it getting blocked and returned. Fix the blocking and most of this gets cured.
The rules say you may not line up across from the snapper, but you may use him as a trampoline once the ball is snapped. Is #13 standing on our snapper?
“A regulation football is inflated to 13.5 psi. Ideally, you want your kick to decrease the size of the ball by 1/3 which, by Boyle's Law, will increase the pressure by ~30%. That force is being exerted on the top side of the ball facing away from the kicker. You want an efficient energy transfer between the foot and the back side of the ball bladder. The laces and stripes are stitched on. This means that there are holes in the leather where they are attached. If the laces are out, the bladder can expand into these holes which means the volume of air increases, and the pressure decreases. Obviously, the effect is negligible, but it is interesting.” Science…….This is so wrong.
Here’s mud in your balls. Is that the saying?I thought it was mud on your balls while playing golf. Have I had that wrong this whole time?
This actually helped me understand more about my prostate issues.“A regulation football is inflated to 13.5 psi. I agree. The kickers are not the problem. If they had blocks, no issues... and if the blockers project, also no issues.I don't think the kickers are largely the problem. Snaps are sloppy, holds are suspect or blocking is shite OR any combination of the 3. Kickers are rightfully nervous and rushing through processes
glad it helpedThis actually helped me understand more about my prostate issues.
interesting, looks poorly blocked by Oline too, good screen grabFrom what I saw, the timing was perfect, the hold was just off by 90 degrees.
