Who is going to the Holiday Bowl Check in here...

The reason for the Wyndham (near USS Midway) is that I live in the desert and need to see water every now and then, so I will get a harbor view. Or with the Sheraton on Harbor Island, but that is apparently not near the trolley, so would have to Uber to the parade and party in Gaslamp. Thoughts on those 2? If I stay in Gaslamp, I don't get the ongoing water view.
The Wyndham is a good choice and easily walkable to Little Italy. The Sheraton is very nice but kinda isolated.

I posted the link above this post yesterday afternoon...
It's not $44 anymore for the alumni? Wish I could go there but I got too much stuff going on and I'd like to make a vacation out of any far away trip. Only got 3 Vaca Days left this year and going to the family for XMAS :/

The team is staying at Marriott Marquis Marina. We reserved yesterday. Check Expedia. They have some packages for airfare and hotel rooms. This hotel was listed as one yesterday. Leave Syracuse at 5:20 am on Dec. 26 and arrive in San Diego at 10:42 am. 1:41 layover in Detroit.

As a Marriott platinum member, I looked into this hotel and it is more than double any other hotel I looked at. Maybe I will look at using point.

I’ve always thought it was more fun to be located with the team. It is a little more pricey, but we find it worth the extra money. I was surprised with how reasonable some of the hotels were in the Sam Diego area.

Are you staying there? And are you sure about the team staying here? I am adding it to my list of multiple reservations.

It’s actually not a bad time(price wise) to travel here because so many people are from somewhere else and fly home for the holidays.

OK. I really splurged and went for it, and a delux bayview room. I have suite nights left, so I put in for those. If I get a suite with a living room, I can be a gathering place. I also have club access, so can certainly use that for breakfast, and drinks etc.

I was at that Sheraton a few years ago, and my biggest takeaway (besides a wicked hangover) was that it was pretty isolated. I don't think there was too much that was easily walkable

I switched to the Marriott Harbor. Pricier than my other options, but it sounds like the team is staying there.

I called the Holiday Bowl manager and he told me SU was there and I confirmed it with John Wildhack. We took a city view room to save a few bucks instead of the bay view. We probably won’t be in the room much. We’ll have to connect. I look forward to meeting people from the forum.

So another couple will be driving out with me, staying at the hotel and then they will fly back to Phoenix on Saturday morning. Road trip. They are my game watch buddies. They come over to my house and watch with my husband and me all the time. Hubby is not coming. He likes to be home. We are in 2 totally different age groups, but avid SU fans. I am really excited now, especially with McCord being there.

Me!! Plus 4 coming from LA that I know, and 5 from the Gill family.
I have 4-6 right now considering coming from AZ that I know of.
I'm driving over on the 26th. Heading to LA and then not so sure. May hit the Rose float viewing. But will stop for one night in Palm Desert on my way back to AZ. My parents lived there for 30 years, and I always like breaking up the LA to Phoenix drive.
For those of you I met at the tailgate during the Cuse win in Vegas, welcome to SoCal. As Brent likes to call me, I’m Mark from San Diego ;-)

I’ll be there rooting like crazy for Cuse and Coach Fran to get 10 wins. I’m stoked that Kyle and the rest of the guys should be playing. I don’t love the opponent and would have preferred Colorado and Coach prime, but I hope the team rolls Wazzu and has tremendous positive momentum going into the off-season. This will set Syracuse up for future success

If fans are staying in San Diego for the weekend, we should plan a group activity. I think it would be great on Saturday night to take over one of the rooftop bars in gaslamp. The Andaz is a personal favorite

If any of you are tired from the long flight and need a massage, one of the businesses I own is a spa in Pacific Beach. This is a great neighborhood to explore; in my opinion, PB has the best boardwalk for people watching. If anybody comes in for a massage and wears Syracuse gear, i will offer a 20% discount.

Massage Super

LGO!!!

Sorry bro... not going to be able to make it... Have to go out to my sisters in Mass for xmas with a few... and my other brother is stuck elsewhere. I won't make a 27th trip.

My friends and I have decided to go to the University tailgate for a variety of reasons.

My oldest brother is in town, visiting his son in LA. Trying to convince him to go..
