Who is our best player from the 2024 class?

I think Fran is a really good recruiter especially having to do it with less resources than other p4 schools, but I was thinking to myself who is the best 2024 player on our team that isn’t in the transfer portal? I’d guess if you said of the guys who have left it would be Watson. So I ask you who is the best player from the 24’ class that is not in portal or have already left?

Currently Braheem Long probably but after one full season on defense it will be Jamie Tremble.

Man that class originally had 26 signees as of this moment 8 are still with us. That close to 70% departure. I hope a couple of these players decide to return.

...and Tremble was a Dino recruit. The coaches spend so much time and effort to recruit 15-17 year olds and once they finally make it to campus they're gone in a year or two. I can see what a lot of good college coaches moved on to the NFL or other coaches walked away from head coaching jobs. It's just a mess.

While he was originally a Dino recruit, Fran was able to convince him (and fellow Georgian Jakhari) to keep his commitment to SU.

Jamie also gets advice and support from his father (a short-term NFL player) and his brother (TE for the Carolina Panthers).

I’m more to the point saying you can’t get these big recruits and they leave after a year. Quante Gillian’s probably our 3rd best recruit last class just entered.

Currently Tremble, yes was recruited during Dino's time but the new staff still had to recruit him and keep him
The class was really top heavy and a much of fill ins/hold overs do to not having alot of time for the staff to recruit
We need to focus on what we got in the portal for 2024, that's where Fran and Co where able to get better players
