We are Syracuse the Big East Confrence Regular season champions and a national power in College Bball and

Our reward for Winning and being the number one seed in the BE is to play at noon, instead of at prime time thats a slap in the face

and many of us younger cuse fans might be stuck in class, and i happen to have a midterm at 12:30 so how does that work for me and many other younger fans im sure our not happy bout this so thanks BE nice way to treat the Flag ship program of your conference

The #1 seed ALWAYS gets the noon game because they get the most rest prior to the semi-finals. Get over it dude, we all went through it.

The assumption is that the #1 seed, vs the winner of 9/16 will be the least competitive game, and most likely a blowout...therefore its not featured in prime time. Its always about TV.

The 1 seed has ALWAYS played on Thursday at noon. It has absolutely nothing to do with Syracuse. It gives the 1 seed the most rest possible.

What am i and others supposed to do ?

Look at at from this positive perspective:

Which other big east fanbase would fill MSG at noon on a Thursday? it makes sense from a $$$ standpoint if you look at it like this.

I'm taking Thursday off to go to the game, but in past years when we play early games I've been stuck following on the internet.

The "rest" aspect is an ancillary benefit, I'm 99.9% sure the #1 reason is TV. ESPN would have the #1 and #2 seeds play in the afternoon if they could, but that would throw the brackets off.

That makes a lot of sense.

For the last few years I've wanted to finish 3rd because gives us the best.time to watch the game.

It's a mid-term, you skip it. Worst case scenario u fail & maybe you're short some credits at the end of your 6 years of undergrad and you end up at school an extra semester. 20 years from now you'll be glad you did it. LGO!!!!!

That sucks, but the timing of the game has nothing to do with disrespecting Syracuse.

yes i prob should have said any #1 seed in the be tourny not just syracuse. I just figured you would want you #1 seed in the night session

just skip the midterm knock up your one night stand and live in a van down by the river.
or you might also consider losing one letter and putting your sig on one line.

I'd email ESPN and ask if they can switch the game to 7; they might do it for you.

EDIT: Also, where the were you in 2010? Not a fan yet?

I remember that game it was also at noon, we played gtown and lost the game and AO got hurt. Me and my friends ditched class at lunch and watched the game

Do college kids today have no imagination? I mean christ you know what crap I used to rig up to bring into a class/test, etc any electronic device to listen to the game?

Ad BTW in 20 years this midterm will mean nothing. I barely got through college and make more than I ever thought I would.

Study your ass off, get great grades, get a job that you are so good at that the Boss will have to let you have Thursday afternoons in March off. Oh, record the game and watch it after your final.

Based on that post I think he's still in highschool....

That and the fact that most college don't have "mid-terms" in March, it's finals time.

I will be home watching the game at noon on Thurs. I'm going in early to put in a half day. My boss would rather have me take time off then to be at work paying no attention.

Do you have access to a DVR? And some privacy? Take your exam, let people know you don't want to know the score, and then arrange to watch the game. This may be exceedingly difficult to pull off, but it's not impossible. I've done it. Worse comes to worse, you find out the result and you watch it after the fact. Good luck! And do well on your exam!

What we all did in school come tourney time - get a radio, run the headphone cord up your sleeve and listen to the game. Or, now with the benefit of technology you could DVR it and turn off your phone.

Not just school either, people do work as well which means you take a long lunch or the whole afternoon off.

I would also recommend not taking Marsh's advice - not all of us have been there before...
