Oh, ok. I go to Cincy and we have "quarters" not semesters. Instead of 2 15 week semesters we have 3 11 week quarters; so we have midterms and finals 3 times instead of 2; it blows.

I thought it may be Radio and TV (I also went to OCC) because I know every professor in that dept and was going to give one of them for scheduling a midterm during the BET. Oh well.

They call it quarters because they count summer as one, it's weird. We normally start around September 22nd or so and go until June 10th.

We are finally switching to semesters after this year is over though.

This is also not to be a dick, but if you want to study journalism, particularly at Syracuse, you really, really need to focus on your spelling, punctuation, grammar and syntax. Trust me on this. I know this is only an internet message board, but poor writing habits in one part of your life will carry over to other parts of your life.

This is where you e-mail your professor weeks ahead when it was almost 100% that we would be the 1 seed and ask to take the test early so there are no issues on Thursday...

...or just say '' it and drive down to New York Wednesday night when you have literally all your classes on Thursday...that's my plan this year.

He is in school because he needs to be there to be employable. Athletes, artists, etc., don't need college to be employable in his chosen field. if he wants to quit school to be a welder, fine, but he will have a tough time taking Thursdays off to watch hoops.

The "rest" aspect is an ancillary benefit, I'm 99.9% sure the #1 reason is TV. ESPN would have the #1 and #2 seeds play in the afternoon if they could, but that would throw the brackets off.

Wouldn't the 4 vs 5 be better for TV than the 3 vs 6?
Wouldn't the 1 (likely a Top 10 team) vs 8 still be more attractive than the 2 vs 7?

Also remember that the 8 or 9 seed in the BE is usually an NCAAT caliber team. This isn't like other conferences where the 8 is a cupcake.

I would think for TV the below would be better:
