I think the tOSU thing has a lot to do with Ohio University as well. They were suing each other over their names a while back.

Met some Ohio grads who are convinced it's a shot at them.

They all still root for the Buckeyes on fall Saturdays though

I usually refer to them as "Da Ohio State University," but sometimes use "One of the Ohio State Universities."

I think it should be called Central Ohio University.
