- Hopefully this team WILL be motivated to win one for Coach Shafer and the seniors. Look at what happened with Miami after they fired Al Golden. They’re going to a bowl game. We aren’t going to a bowl game but it may help that the decision has been made and the pressure is off. The team will have nothing to lose and will go out and play.
- When two 3-8 teams play, pick the home team. This Syracuse team is Dr. Jekyl at home. We gave LSU and Clemson all they could handle. The Eagles are no Tigers.
- It’s depressing to read about BC’s top rated defense. But it’s fun to read about their second to last offense. From Nunes Magician: “The problem starts and ends with the offensive line, which has been horrid this season. They can't run block, they can't pass block, in fact they make so many massive mistakes BC can't do anything on offense. They are improving, but they still look lost at points….. Darius Wade was groomed to be the starter, but he went down against FSU, and the other three QB's that have come in since have done little to nothing.” What Syracuse needs more than anything right now is to face a quarterback who has done little to nothing.
- If our secondary isn’t going to get torched, our defense will play well enough to stay in the game. Maybe our offense can eek out a score or two against their defense and our kicking game can do the rest.
- Let’s all go out and give Coach Shafer a good send off, whether you wanted him out or not, let the man leave with an ovation. He’s a good guy and he deserves it.
