The only way this gets as bad as Penn State is if Bernie has still been molesting children. If not, and it's isolated to those 2 in the years they said it happened, you have a chancellor and AD who inherited this issue, performed a thorough investigation based on what they heard, and could not get one person to corroborate. What were they supposed to do? Fire Bernie then because of a rumor they can't substantiate but because it's the worst type of crime?
Like I said, Penn State's horrific actions have changed the way anyone thinks about this. Now it's not just the pedophile, it has to be a major cover up that everyone involved knew about, and allowed to continue. The matter of guilt is a foregone conclusion.
