That’s true, he does appear to be on the short side, but if he is able to make plays like this one regularly, then I’m not too worried about his height.

Height doesn’t mean that much at center anymore. I’m not saying you should be 6’5 playing center, but the days of only being 6’10 and taller are over, you can structure your team around a center that’s only 6’9 and built like a bull who rebounds plays defense and can score and be more than fine, compared to having a 7’2 kid who can’t catch the ball, trips over his shoelaces and has absolutely no game other than being freakishly tall.

He's tall / big / strong enough. But game film suggests that he isn't much of a defender. An extra inch or two wouldn't change that.

Even though it wasn't a major conference, it looks like he blocked a bunch of shots for the jackrabbits.

hey, I hope it works out. I don’t think blocking diawara says anything, as he will likely not see time this yr. He just looks a little short for our starting center, that’s all. Bigger guys posting him up may be an issue, we’ll see. We need something to talk about! This board has been quiet!
