I’d even go back to Mark Dantonio (before Brian Kelly).

They also had a short stint with Tommy Tuberville (believe he was between Jones and Fickell).

Probably, but it was a self-inflicted wound. They got fed up with not being one of the two alpha dogs in the Big XII anymore because of Texas, so they left for what they thought would be greener pastures. They didn't have to leave.

You mean a home run hire like Scott Frost to Nebraska? For the first time in a long while, Fickel will not have the best talent in his conference. Let's see how he fends with the reality that he has the 4th- or 5th-most talented roster in the B1G.
