I'm with you OrangePa
Moo moo big buckaroo.I guess my September wish would be for the Yankees to easily clinch and to be setting up their rotation for a deep October run.
That...and for Cruz' knee to be 100% so he can man the slot like a champ and to keep the pressure off of ODB.
Of course September would be a good time to be sobering up after a summer of celebrating a NYR Stanley Cup.
What was this thread about again?? Oh yeah uniforms.
The cattle are dumb.
The people making decisions on the hill are dumber.
And anyone here who defends the current ones, for any reason...are the dumbest.
But yet if we put 10 different versions of pink & green in front of the cattle...let them decide on stripes or no stripes, high & tight arm or lose arm, throw in an alternate gray etc...I guaranfluckintee they will say its awesome and tweet a 1000 pictures of them, telling the world they love em.Not enough green and pink. Not classic.

TheCusian said:Point is - classic - just means what you remember. It's all relative. I've basically stated a truth that no traditionalists like and have been everyone's bean bag for a week. I'm really, really hoping that none of the parents from the recruiting side take your cattle comments to heart. If some arse called my kid cattle, I'd be pretty offended. And you don't get it. At all.
rrlbees said:Like he said before so well. Put the Syracuse back in the uniforms. This years uniforms were not Syracuse regardless if someone liked the look or not. We get it.
KaiserUEO said:The point is...you are trying to hide behind your newfound love of more Orange to mask your earlier statements of how much you loved the unis and how less Orange would actually highlight it. Cattle, fwiw...are an expensive, limited commodity that most of the world can't live without. I know my family can't. They should be treated like gold, but not worshiped as such...(wrong time of the year for that joke eh comrade!?) Judging by the current landscape, lawsuits and potential changes to how the student/athlete is viewed...the parents here likely agree with me. Invited, yet cattle. Have them call me, I can put them in touch with the right former players and lawyers here in City.
Let's not make Kaiser the point of the argument. The issue is that these Nike creations didn't represent Syracuse in any meaningful way, from color scheme to unreadable numbers. And I agreed for the most part. Point is - at some point there were a bunch of old guys shaking their fists in the air about switching away from our tradition and adopting orange as our official color.
I've not said a single extreme thing in the whole UNI conversation. I'm very much down the middle - but have taken multiple hits from everyone defending the players rights to have opinion on what they wear. I've had people question my fandom for that opinion.
While Kaiser has openly used a derogatory term to describe some very good young men - while we have 3 sets of parents of current recruits posting regularly.
But yeah - more "Syracuse" in the Uni's would go a long way.

Ummmm, I don't think Donnie has any eligibility left.
The only thing gross and the SUAD have done...is pass blame on the Un-Syracuse look of the unis off on the players. But then I see Illinois and I hear those are Nike creations and I think maybe the problem isn't necessarily Nike. Maybe it's Gross who is providing the design ideas.
my classic is the white home jerseys from the early 60's but will take the blue
Syracuse has the unique ability to pull that off.my classic is the white home jerseys from the early 60's but will take the blue

Clearly, you have no idea what my points are.The point is we largely agree on all of those points and yet I'm being made the goat for defending the idea of change and player participation in what they wear.
You can stand with Kaiser and his points if you want.
