We are a big time program. We just don’t get the elite of elite top 10 player talent.

We aren’t a small market team.

Its been a long time since they won a title and even then they underachieved. They should have won 3 titles in the late 80s early 90s. Your point about being in the elite 8 if you win the div is just making my point for me winning titles in baseball is much easier.

The Red Sox are number 1 in payroll because they added JD Martinez and have a lot of dead money on the payroll.
They were the only team that went above the luxury tax threshold. The Yankees and Dodgers which have spent more this year decided to get under the luxury tax threshold to restart the penalties for going over and because next year’s FA class is so good they didn’t want to spend this offseason.
Machado, Harper, Kershaw, and others will cause the Yankees and Dodgers to pass the Red Sox payroll next year when Pablo Sandoval, Hanley Ramirez, Rusney Castillo’s contracts come off the Red Sox books.
I don’t expect you to know this stuff but this is the first year the Red Sox will spend more than the Yankees.

Their is a reason the A-Rod went to the Yankees in 2004. The Red Sox wouldn’t spend the money that George Steinbrenner and the Yankees would.

coach k has shown the ability to be open minded and to adapt new ideas to help him improve his program.

jimmy does so much so well, but i wish he was less stubborn.

i just gotta think there are some things that k or coach wright do that would improve our program if adapted here.

there is always room for improvement, just gotta be willing to seek it out.
