34-2 team ever. Clock winding down in the first half under 30 seconds and an 8 point lead - end up with a 6 point half time lead. What??
One point lead - under 25 seconds -break the press- 3 on 2- looks like a lane to the basket - and low and behold they pull it out! Attack the basket! It looked like they would have been fouled but it would have been in the act - and a possibility of the basket to count. This was not up 3 and the ball. You would think a 33-2 smart team would know the difference.
I know many will point to the 34-2 record and all the wins during close games. But I got to tell you, it feels like this team is Forrest Gumping their way through game after close game. Normally you would think a record like this would have a team full of extraordinarily high BBall IQs and a killer clutch free throw shooter. That is not the case.
In any event, this team just keeps on doing it. Milestones after milestone, just ended the Sweet sixteen drought and the Big Ten in the tourney hex. Still more to go.
